I have the same problem. The screen began detaching on the lower right side on the second year.

I went to open the screen today and the window completely dropped, to my shock. I can't believe the window did not break.

I was able to get the window back up.

The screen has completely detached from the window. No help from Lowe's except to contact Larson customer service. They have no repair parts available.

The Larson website chat does not work today also (off line).

I have only had this door 4 years and also live alone. This front door is rarely used so it has not had what I would consider normal wear and tear.

In total agreement Larson doors do suck! Will never by another Larson door! Frustrated in Indiana!

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Location: Orange, New Jersey

I went to close the window on the storm door last evening & found while I was in the house the darned window dropped because I noticed there was no screen in. It folded up to God knows somewhere at the top of the door & I do not know how to fix it.

Is it fixable?

Who knows. Guess I will have to buy another storm door.
