Finally spoke to a supervisor and after persistently stating we wanted a refund or a new door that we could have purchased a new door with the cost of our contractor coming in to fix it, the Supervisor will give us a new door and we should throw out the old. This says something about their product. wouldn't it have been better if they had a service department?

I bought a Larson Storm Door with retractable screen. The door came broken from the first day.

I called customer service and was told that they only need to send a new screen with tension. The door came and still broken. I called Service department and they said they will send the parts needed. I asked if they can send a tech over and they don't have any.

I had to pay my contractor twice for the installation and repair of the door so far cost $300. My contractor is competent. Larson will not take door back because it was installed. They do not support their products but send you replacement parts.

It costs you money to pay someone to fix it. So far I am almost at the cost of a new door in installation fees. The customer service people do not know anything about the door, the read off the computer.

which i could do myself. Bottom DO NOT BUY A LARSON DOOR.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $937.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Followup to my Larson Door. I received my new door about 4 weeks after my review.

It door is finally installed but the frame I purchased for the inside door was not properly built on the storm door side. The brick mold was way off about .7 inches off and had to be removed and replaced. The molding was supposed to be properly installed but the makers of Thurma-Tru doors had to make a custom frame. Never order a custom frame from Thurma-Tru.

They are the worst. the new Larson Door has been up for 4 days and the slide down glass is starting not to hold its position. The exact same problem is occurring again. The glass is too heavy for the screen.

The doors are both garbage. I would have been better off with a cheaper door from HomeDepot and I would have been better off if I hired a carpenter to make my door frame instead of getting it from Thurma-Thu. I learned a very very very expansive lesson. I have never had such problems with a door.

Luckly my installer is trying to work with me but the problem caused by the manufacture is overwhelming. WindowRama pretends to work with you but they are not great if you have a problem.

If everything is fine they are great. WindowRama is just out to make money with no problems.
