My door was a gift, brand new in box, purchased from a local retail store. The box was opened at the top a little bit; nothing indicated tampering.

My son in law delivered the door and discovered many missing pieces. I called Larson to see if they would send out the missing pieces. Larson wanted to charge me $130 for the parts. This seems a little absurd considering the door itself cost $250.

So basically, they are telling me their cheap pressed aluminum drip cap, sweep, weathering stripping, screws and door closer cost just as much as the door itself.

The really weird part was the first time I called I was quoted $100 the next time I talked to someone $130! Returning the door and going to so some research and look for a more reputable company.

Why didn't you take it back to where it was purchased? the manufacturer has no control over a partially opened box.
